The ACC and DragonFly Launch Tech Partnership

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and DragonFly, a leading provider of sports management technologies, today announced a partnership to manage and develop Official Hub — the digital platform used by The ACC and several other collegiate conferences to coordinate officiating communications, issue game assignments and manage officiating finances.

For the 2021-22 academic year, Official Hub will be maintained by DragonFly’s software engineering team. The two organizations will begin collaborating on plans for new system features that will further increase officiating operational efficiencies and modernize the platform experience.

“We are pleased to partner with DragonFly as we continue to elevate the platform that supports our collegiate officiating services,” said Brad Hecker, Assistant Commissioner. “DragonFly has a strong history of providing technological advancements with the ACC having been a beneficiary. We appreciate Kirk Miller and his team working to ensure Official Hub continues to be an optimal platform for our schools and officials.”

“We have a saying at DragonFly that our partners hear often: our technologies are never finished because we’re committed to continuous improvement,” said Kirk Miller, CEO of DragonFly. “We’re honored to partner with The ACC to apply this philosophy to Official Hub and provide a best-in-class experience for officials, who are vital to the game.”

DragonFly brings a host of experience in software development for officials as the technology team behind the NFHS Center for Officials Services, used by more than 35,000 high school officials nationwide. They also revolutionized game film distribution in collegiate athletics as creators of the DragonFly STORM video network.

Collegiate officials can expect new features and updates to Official Hub to start in the 2022-23 academic year.
